I believe that the best investment you can make is in yourself. Do something, create something but put your mark on it but spend some money on yourself.
The field of ICT - Information and Communication Technologies can be like magic pixie dust. Schools are great but they hardly teach what you really need out there to suceed.
As for me, there have been some fancy shmancy titles and roles but the most fun and rewarding ones have been jobs where people feel genuinely helped.
BTW - this picture is not me. I'm bald, fat and ugly but thankfully this does not matter too much :)
WORK EXPERIENCE
First real paid job was "Opto-Electronics Researcher" at UCL, UK. My college project work was sold to several companies and some of it I could not talk about for 3 years - pretty crazy for a 21 yr old. More lab rat work and laser beams then Telecoms, Energy Management, Energy Regulation, IT contracts, IT Professional Services.
Education had been a thread throughout.
EDUCATION
High School awards for Math, Advanced Math, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Technical Drafting plus top grades for my country - scholarship yada yada (does not show up in a professional resume but.. may score some points if ur in High School)
BSc. Computer Engineering, MSc. Telecoms, Applied Research in Collaboration and Education Technology
SKILLS
I love eating popcorn and watching movies while sipping beverages. I can even do these things simultaneously - this requires some talent, wouldn't you say?
Add to this Project Management, IT Architecture, Electronic Design, Adult Education and you might find me a bit more worthy of telling you my stories.
